As the Chief of Police of the City of Murphysboro, I welcome you to the Murphysboro Police Department website. The men and women of the Murphysboro Police Department are committed to delivering the very best customer service and police protection to our residents and visitors. The Murphysboro Police Department consists of sixteen full-time police officers, two part-time police officers, six full-time communications officers, one full-time animal control officer and sixteen auxiliary police officers. In addition to police headquarters located at 202 North 11th Street, the Murphysboro Police Department operates a modern training center and firing range near Riverside Park.

We take great pride in the police services we provide, and in our city. Murphysboro is a great place to live, learn and do business. Myself and every member of this department are dedicated to protecting that quality of life for our citizens.
