The City of Murphysboro has the following open positions and/or is accepting applications/bids/RFP’s/RFQ’s:

Laborer – Water and Sewer Maintenance Division
     This position involves manual laboring activities requiring physical strength and coordination using a variety of basic hand tools and equipment as well as the ability to retain information to obtain IEPA Certifications for career advancement.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma, and a valid Illinois Drivers License.  Probationary Wage is $18.50 per hour.  Post-Probationary Wage is $23.78.  Deadline for accepting applications is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025.
